“Tune in on Sunday, April 3, at 11:00am EDT, to a special live town hall that will be streamed online at Liberal.ca. During the event, Michael Ignatieff will unveil the Liberal Platform and answer questions from Canadians.”
Live streaming video meetings are very common. It is perhaps one of the most efficient ways to conduct business with people online who are near or a far. All you need is a good Internet connection and any digital device in which enables you to browse the Internet.
Wondering what to expect at a “Streaming Live Townhall Meeting?”
Most times, you will log on with a username (either private or public) and then you will see a screen counting down to the actual start time. You may also see a nice chat section in which all viewers can post information, ask questions, and network with others participants.
Then, when the clock strikes and the start time hits a host my pop on to introduce the speaker(s) and also moderate the forum.
Yes, you will indeed be able to see the speakers via Video (or at least I am hope so!).
A few of the popular streaming video tools online today include:
- Ustream
- Livestream
- justin.tv (no, not Justin Trudeau
)
Overall, I can say I have learnt a lot from other live streaming shows and I do quite enjoy them.
What are your thoughts? Would you stream live? Or perhaps join a live streaming show?
